{"id":26809,"date":"2020-04-02T17:15:51","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T17:15:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.mtelehealth.com\/?p=26809"},"modified":"2020-04-02T17:15:51","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T17:15:51","slug":"cms-adds-85-more-medicare-services-covered-under-telehealth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drmiltie.com\/at-home-testing\/cms-adds-85-more-medicare-services-covered-under-telehealth\/","title":{"rendered":"CMS adds 85 more Medicare services covered under telehealth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CMS on March 30&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cms.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/trump-administration-makes-sweeping-regulatory-changes-help-us-healthcare-system-address-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">issued<\/a>&nbsp;various regulatory&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beckershospitalreview.com\/hospital-management-administration\/cms-makes-sweeping-regulatory-changes-to-help-hospitals-combat-covid-19-6-things-to-know.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">changes<\/a>&nbsp;to further support hospitals&#8217;, physicians\u2019 and other healthcare organizations\u2019 capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, including expanding Medicare coverage of telehealth visits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 17, the Trump administration&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beckershospitalreview.com\/telehealth\/trump-expands-telehealth-coverage-for-medicare-beneficiaries-amid-coronavirus-outbreak.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;CMS will temporarily pay clinicians to provide telehealth services for beneficiaries during the pandemic. CMS is now expanding Medicare coverage of 85 additional services provided via telehealth, including emergency department visits and initial nursing facility and discharge visits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the 85 additional services, and their respective codes, that CMS will cover when provided via telehealth through the duration of the pandemic:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. 77427: radiation management<br \/>2. 90853: group psychotherapy<br \/>3. 90953: end stage renal disease, one visit per month, ages 2 and younger<br \/>4. 90959: end
